A very warm welcome to my on-line gallery!
I am at heart a still-life painter influenced by the Spanish and Dutch tradition, but I also enjoy including unexpected surreal touches to keep your attention a little longer!!
Living in North Yorkshire I cannot fail to be influenced by the wonderful landscape (particularly of the moors and coast where I live) and I often find myself combining all these elements in a single artwork!
I work in oils on deep-sided box stretchers that I often make myself to get the size I need, and I paint all around each side of the canvas so that framing is quite unnecessary unless that is the look that you prefer (perhaps to fit in with a more traditional style of decor.)
I am very happy to consider commissions that are generally along the lines of my preferred subject matter, so please contact me if you would like a painting just for you!
If you are thinking about purchasing a painting and would like a little more idea of my work, I have quite a few of my images made into greeting cards (A6 size - blank inside for your own message and with envelope) If you would like an assortment of 5 for £6 please e-mail me.
